December 9&10, 2008: Speaking in San Francisco [Update: via video]
[Update Dec 4, 2008]: Unfortunately, I had to cancel this trip on short notice. However, I will deliver my presentation to the conference delegates via video, with a later call-in for Q&A.
I’ll [not be] be traveling to the West Coast to participate in the Mobile Media Investors Conference, put together expertly by The Strategy Institute, which has a great line-up of speakers from all corners of the Industry.
My own presentation will be focusing on mobagetown, the by now well-known Japanese mobile service that combines free mobile games with social networking - making lots of cash on a revenue model combining digital goods/avatars and mobile advertising.
The service reached 11.6 million users, generated 15.3 billion monthly page views (that’s 1,319 per user!) last month and raked in close to US$ 50 million in revenues last quarter, at a 47.4% total operating profit margin for parent company DeNA (which runs several other businesses as well).

* Demographics and usage patterns
* Integrated business model and revenue streams
I’ll be spending a few days in the US as part of that trip, if you would like to meet up, please ping me.
